microsoft treasure hunt map not showing exit

I had this game on my Surface Pro 1, but after factory resetting the tablet, it refuses to install the game, saying it's not compatible (which I find hard to believe, seeing as it was installed on the tablet prior to reset.) Leads me to believe that the Store only offers the Windows 10 version.

I'm installing a Windows 8 VirtualBox as I'm writing this to see if I can even acquire the Windows 8 version of this game anymore. There's just not enough evidence to come to a specific conclusion right now about how the achievements unlock after syncing your progress, so if you want to help, post your experience with this game's progress syncing below so we can figure out how it works in this game. Half of the achievements could immediately pop, you could get nothing to pop no matter what you do and have to reset your progress, or you could be anywhere in between. Also, which achievements unlock after a progress sync seem random and are different for everybody. This will cause your achievements to unlock in a seemingly impossible order. Some achievements will unlock immediately, some will require you to do something to trigger them, and some will require you to re-do the requirements. So in conclusion, your progress will only sync if you played the Windows 8 version before a certain date. You could get lucky and have half of the achievements unlock, or you could get nothing and have to re-do everything. Also based off of the other anecdotes and profiles here, it seems like which achievements pop from progress syncing is semi-random or based on something that we don't yet know. This fact coupled with the fact that one day I started to no longer received ads on the Win8 version of the game makes me think that the Win8 version no longer communicates with the server.

I only had around 3million gold collected, rather than 5million, and I was put on an earlier level than when I completed the grind (level 66, rather than 90-something). The interesting thing was that it seemed to sync an old save - one where I hadn't finished the 5mil gold grind.

The Death Cannot Stop Me! achievement in Microsoft Treasure Hunt (Windows) worth 101 points Purchase 3 Amulets in one game did not unlock, and I think I will need to reset my progress to get them.
